Minicabs return to Ladywell
Minicabs are coming back to Ladywell. The once famous blue and yellow Fenerbahce launderette, which graced Ladywell Road for several years until recent owners painted it black, is about to be turned into a minicab office. The last minicab business in the village, on Algernon Rd, shut up shop years ago. Anyone know how long ago? Meanwhile, work is progressing on the fried chicken takeaway in the old off-licence. It can't be long now!

Very insteresting, I guess the obvious question is where are the mini-cabs going to park??!!!
In the short-stay bay adjacent to the cab office? Unless they'll just be "on call" elsewhere.
Was the previous cab office on the corner of Algernon Road and Gillian Street, which was turned into a flat several years ago.
Does that need change of use planning permission? I think launderettes come under sui generis so am guessing it does ...
Above anon was Sue L btw, sorry!
London, uk dark-colored cab and minicab individuals would likely welcome to be able to use power automobiles at this time, given that the normal price of petrol in the UK is around £1.35 per liter.
