Planters now restocked and tidied-up

(The planter outside Doorstep Bakery - before and after)
Thanks to all who showed-up on Sunday morning to refill, restock and tidy the planters for winter.  Thanks especially to Sue Luxton for initiating this and bringing the plants and compost.  Please help by litter-picking when you go past - it really makes things a lot easier if everyone shares responsibility!

A few plants already nicked - sigh!

"Planted by the community, for the enjoyment of all the community. Please do not take for yourself. Thank you".
Such a sign may deter the opportunist, but not the morally bankrupt.

Really? Which plants have gone? I didn't inspect them very closely when I was there today, but noted that the mini trees were still in situ on Ladywell Rd, which I was pleased about. After Christmas I may be able to fill in a few gaps with cuttings from my garden - could plonk some Bergenia in for starters.

G, I've got some notices, along the lines you've suggested, printed/laminated and will fix them to the planters sometime during the next week.
